Find your routine adapted to your skin and your hair
We'd like to put it behind us once and for all, but covid is still here! Hair loss has now been added to the long list of covid’s harmful effect: according to initial studies, more than 30% of those who had covid experienced significant hair loss within three months. This is due to the many disturbances covid creates in our bodies. But don't panic! We are here to help you limit the damage, or rather the loss.
Post-covid hair loss is, above all, reactive hair loss like any other: it occurs after a traumatic event for our body, such as high stress, a major surgery, pregnancy, or a sudden intake of medication. The best thing to do is to see your doctor to find out if there are any deficiencies causing this disorder and so you can be sure to address the matter properly. A small blood and hormone test and, above all, professional advice will get you get back on track!
To put a stop to hair loss and to restart growth, we can do little things every day! The idea is to stimulate microcirculation and help hair growth though scalp massage with essential oils, anti-hair loss serums and shampoos. Adapt your routine to your objective! To help renew the hair, don't neglect gentle brushing or scrubs, which will make it easier to get rid of dead hair and skin and make room for new growth!
Deficiency leads to nutrition! Nutrient-rich foods and antioxidants are your best allies for boosting hair growth from the inside out: target vitamins B6, B9 and B12 and minerals like iron and zinc. Take full advantage of green vegetables, seasonal fruits and legumes! If necessary, give yourself a boost with a food supplement treatment plan, after seeking professional advice.
This is the time to think about yourself: recovery from covid can be complicated, so take it easy and listen to your body. Get rid of anything that can negatively affect your equilibrium: excessive stress, lack of physical activity, disturbed sleep, busy weeks. Breathe: you need to recover just as much on the inside as the outside!
We normally lose between 30 and 100 hairs a day: it's their normal life cycle! Beyond these numbers, hair loss is considered excessive, and can either be progressive (due to the passage of time and the decrease in cell renewal) or reactive (due to events that alter hormonal balances at the heart of healthy growth).
