What natural ingredients help remove visible flakes from hair prone to dandruff?

Dandruff in your hair? What natural ingredients help remove visible flakes from hair prone to dandruff?

With Klorane, we have a plant-based solution for every hair problem. Dandruff is no exception! There are many miracle recipes and misconceptions surrounding the subject: we have listed the most effective natural anti-dandruff ingredients to help you make the right choices.

The perfect natural anti-dandruff solution: a soothing ingredient

It is the fungus (or more specifically a yeast), Malassezia, which is the cause of dandruff proliferation. To curb the problem of dandruff, you must find a natural remedy to stop it with the help of fungicidal active ingredients, i.e. those that remove parasites. Multiple natural ingredients and plants work to remove the visible flakes caused by dandruff and rebalance the scalp over time.

How to remove visible dandruff

True or false? Spotlight on natural solutions

We choose 100% natural ingredients, such as plant oils, like castor, olive, coconut and essential oils such as tea tree, lavender, cedar and palmarosa, as well as white vinegar, clay or some plants such as nettle. Our botanists have chosen Galanga and Nettle extracts as effective natural solutions

This means that you should avoid changing your diet by thinking that it has an impact (this is a myth) and avoid using overly damaging or harsh shampoos on the scalp in the hope of “removing” it (as this makes the situation worse). No baking soda either, it is a classic grandmother's remedy that causes severe skin and eye irritation.

Essential oil benefits

Essential oil benefits

Tea tree, Lavender Aspic, Palmarosa extracts... these are all effective anti-dandruff ingredients.

Essential oils can help cleanse and purify the scalp and consequently reduce visible flakes over time. To make the most of their benefits, apply one or two drops to your shampoo. Be careful before using essential oils, you should seek the advice of a health professional to prevent the risk of allergies or contraindications during pregnancy.

The benefits of white vinegar

The benefits of white vinegar

White vinegar will prevent the proliferation of dandruff due to its bactericidal, antiseptic and fungicidal action. The acidity of white vinegar helps maintain the pH balance of the scalp. To use it, add 1 or 2 teaspoons directly to your regular shampoo. Or dilute 5 tablespoons of white vinegar in a bottle of cold water and use it to rinse your hair after shampooing.

What could be better than a natural extract in your anti-dandruff routine?

A plant from traditional Chinese medicine, we chose Galanga as a natural extract in our products. This natural extract acts four times faster than Zinc Pyrithione.

A few words from our botanist

We selected Galanga because this plant contains, in its roots, the “rhizomes”, active molecules called “phenylpropanoids”.
