Gardening at home with your children

Whether you have a large garden, a small terrace or just a window ledge, there is always a way to plant a little bit of everything and bring a little bit of nature into your kids' lives.

Today, the Shell family, a strange tribe with green hair, is being sown.

Ingredients

- Egg carton bases

- Eggshells that have been emptied and filled

- Brown lentils (soak overnight in a ramekin)

- Coffee grounds or potting soil

Method

Step 1

Cut out and decorate the bottoms of the egg cartons to make beautiful individual egg cups.

Step 2

Empty the eggshells and fill them with soil or coffee grounds.

Step 3

Gently draw faces.

Step 4

Add a pinch of lentils and cover with 2 mm of soil.

Step 5

After only two days, and after watering a few times, the first tender, green shoots appear.

Other ideas

SURPRISE AVOCADO Consider recycling the stone. Once you've eaten the delicious guacamole: Get 3 toothpicks, a glass of water... and watch as it grows!

STAR-STUDDED RADISHES Radishes are a sure thing. In 18 days, your child can plant them, see the seeds germinate, watch the shoots grow and then the flowers appear... You'll have to water a little every day, thin out the plants if necessary to allow the radishes to develop well.
