Water, something we really can't live without
On average a person from the UK consumes about 150 litres of water a day, that equates to almost 55 000 litres a year. Of course, water consumption varies from one household to another, but it is important to conserve water and use it wisely for both the planet and the people.
Make the challenge your own
There are many things that you can do and tips you can share with others to cut down on the amount of water you use daily. Like switching off the water when washing yourself or putting shampoo in your hair, brushing your teeth and washing your hands. Klorane has decide to design all new challenges - are you up for it?
We use between 40-80 litres of water when we shower for 4-5 minutes and a massive 150-200 litres of water when we bath, whereas it only takes a few litres to fill the sink. By replacing one shower a week with a simple body wash from the sink means saving over 4000 litres of water a year.
Dry Shampoo Challenge
What would the impact be from replacing one of your rinsed shampoos each week with dry shampoo? Well.. it will give your hair a fresh boost, additional volume and gives you the perfect texture for French plaits, messy buns and beach waves. As well as saving more than 500 litres of water a year. Join the challenge and give your hair a bit of botanical soul.
Shake, Shower & Dance Challenge
On average a 5- minute shower uses 60-200 litres of water. There are a few ways to measure the amount of time you spend in the shower (counting, stopwatch etc.) But that's a bit boring... For this challenge choose a song that lasts less than 3 minutes and puts you in a great mood! Sing, dance, enjoy and when the music stops get out of the shower.
